What is within my power to tilt humanity’s scale toward a more peaceful world?

Born from a simple question

I asked myself: if I could do something, within my power, to help tilt humanity’s scale toward a more peaceful and harmonious world — what would it be?

After thinking and searching, I realized that teaching younger generations hands-on knowledge and skills in line with permaculture principles was the way to do it.

Permaculture principles, applied correctly, have the potential to alleviate hunger and abject poverty — which is, in my opinion, the worst of crimes, since it prevents people from developing further and being peaceful. Many a robber was a desperate, hungry child.

To my great amazement and reverence, I saw that many people had already started building such schools, workshops, foundations and NGOs. I would like to contribute to their noble efforts and help them in areas where they need it most: materials, tools, funding, visibility, networking and knowledge.

Please help me in helping them build a better world. So we build it together.

Amplifying those already doing the work

Terra Humana does not impose solutions. We listen, learn and support. We see ourselves as enablers of people already doing this noble work on the ground.

Where it begins — Colombia

We do not start from scratch. We start from an existing proof of concept, with a real human bridge to it. Our first partner has been working for over six years with vulnerable children in Colombia — combining alternative education with organic gardens, art, music and community.

Fundación Talento 21

Based in Tenjo, near Bogotá, Talento 21 works with more than 150 children and adolescents in vulnerable situations — teaching permaculture, ecological crafts, music, robotics and more. They are living proof that this approach works.
